Can a Pacifist Gamer Complete 'Modern Warfare 2' Without Killing Anyone?

Glen McCracken avidly plays 'Modern Warfare 2' with a goal steadfast in mind. He has already reached rank 70 several times, completed all of the challenges and killed many a dude by locking and loading. So, when it came time for McCracken to start a brand new campaign, none of this seemed to be enough. By radically shifting his gaming philosophy, he decided to take on an entirely new and arguably more difficult challenge: reaching level 70 without killing a single opponent.

McCracken has already died 1,339 times getting to rank 21, an impressive feat in and of itself. Advancing in rank in 'Modern Warafre 2' is contingent on accumulating points earned by completing tasks, the easiest of which is a kill. Depriving himself of the go-to for points, McCracken has learned how to score using non-lethal weapons, such as a riot shield and flash-bang grenades.

Online, McCracken plays under the name Mr_No_Kills, and spends his time racking up points by playing Capture the Flag, Domination and even Team Deathmatch. Understandably, his teammates generally aren't too happy with his zero-kill performances, but, in his defense, he has a winning record of 62 wins to 52 losses. Still, McCracken claims that his progress is slowing down as it becomes harder to advance in rank and to find new challenges. A conundrum of 'Modern Warfare,' we suppose: is it possible to be a pacifist in the world of competitive gaming, or does gaming teach us that quick and dirty is the best way to win?
