I did hear we lost our firearms pistol team a few years ago when the UK banned all handguns. Handguns used to be allowed at ranges, as long as they were stored there, but after some nutter went on the rampage, they were all outlawed.

Image, losing your Olympic team because they couldn't train any more. Lunacy.
