I'm not buying that laser pistols are cheaper to acquire and operate than air pistols. Just think of all those nasty, expensive batteries or, god forbid, those 200' long extension cords, Look at the stats. A great many more competitors are injured running than in competitive shooting and that includes REAL guns. Have you ever heard of a competitor injured at a shooting event? No you havent because it NEVER happens.

DOODLEBUG

Comments on Pentathletes Will Fire Laser Guns During 2012 Olympics in London

@Night Driver Yea, I think several were hit with a javelin and a discus. Once knew a woman, perhaps the most rabid anti-gun zealot I'd ever met. She was also a past National-something Collegiate Fencing Champion. She had no problems with competition swordplay or archery, "That's different", she said. Never made any sense to me, and could never get her to even acknowledge the conflict in logic.
kc
PS Have trained on simulators with "Laser-Glocks". Recoil is a HUGE part of competitive shooting.
