When Carole Bruder filed a restraining order against her estranged husband Harry, she had every reason to believe that her soon-to-be ex-hubby would never dare contact her again. Apparently, though, Harry didn't think that Facebook friend requests fell under the legal definition of "contact." According to a
Pasco County Sheriff's Office report obtained by the Smoking Gun, the 54-year-old plumber from Florida has admitted to contacting his wife twice on Facebook within the past month -- a clear violation, investigators argue, of a
court-ordered domestic violence injunction that bars him from making contact. When police pressed him about the friend requests, Bruder reportedly replied, "Yeah, I did it," although he later admitted that it was "stupid" to send them. Now, the Floridian finds himself in jail, pending $5,000 in bail.
Bruder, who also admitted to changing his wife's password on her Yahoo! e-mail account, was clearly none too pleased about Carole's restraining order -- nor the counseling sessions he had to attend as a result. Shortly after the injunction was issued last month, the husband even posted a note on his
Facebook page, in which he wrote, "today my future x wife thinks she won but the real winner is me for i know the truth she is nothing but a lying emotionally disturbed woman who needs help to handle previous abusive relationship." There may not be any "real winner" in a case like this, but we're willing to bet that it's probably
not the person sitting in a jail cell. [From:

Always Turn Off Stolen GPS Units
It was only a matter of time before some numbskull criminal stole a GPS-equipped car or phone, but we didn't expect someone to steal live GPS units. A group of crooks in Lindenhurst, NY swiped 14 functioning GPS devices from the Town of Babylon Public Works. Understandably, authorities had no trouble tracking them down.
Security Cam Catches Tattooed Thief
We're not going to pass judgement on the type of tattoo you get, but you might want to think about what it says before you start getting into crime. Aaron Evans, a 21-year-old U.K. repeat offender, was caught stealing a car's GPS unit because the nearby CCTV captured the tattoo on his neck. It revealed his birthday and name...

Later, when the victim went online and downloaded her data to transfer it to a new phone, Gary's mug popped up. The rest, as they say, is history.

A few days later, a friend noticed that the burglary victim appeared to be online, but called her to make sure. Because the stolen Mac was running Back to My Mac, the victim was able to log into the computer remotely and snap a picture of the thief. Turns out the thieves were "friends" who had visited the victim's apartment several weeks earlier.

Forklift Tricks on YouTube
If you're going to show off your sweet forklift driving skills to your buddies, it's probably best to just do it in person. 20-year-old Australian Matthew Garry Ward uploaded a video of safety-violating forklift tricks to YouTube, and was reported to authorities after a coworker passed the video along to the boss.

I was stalked once, in person back in the 80's. Sounds to me like she gave him one chance to rethink and decide that was stupid (she did like him at one time you know). And he failed to do that.

He attempted to contact her . That's all that was needed to violate the restraining order .Even if she didn't accept his friend request he is still in violation .

Looks like a nice guy ;-)

Yeah, my guess is this woman just wanted to get this guy any way she could. Some women love to drag men into court for any little thing -- they are addicted to it, like junkies. Actually, sounds to me like this dude and his ex belong together. Both are likely looney tunes.

Seemingly, some people don't understand the meaning of NO CONTACT. Maybe this will teach him and others that NO really does mean NO!!
