Hands-Free iPad Comes at the Cost of Wearing a Ridiculous Shirt

Syte Shirt
Despite a great level of ingenuity on some companies' parts, finding a useful accessory for your iPad these days is akin to sifting through junk at a garage sale. Syte Shirt, a recent startup, has just entered the peripheral field with an accessory it feels will finally provide a useful casing for the iPad. By placing the tablet inside a T-shirt, with the screen turned outward, the Pad becomes entertainment for passersby and friends alike.

At this point, you might be wondering if you read over the part where the usefulness of the Syte Shirt is explained. You didn't. In fact, we debated its purpose for a good day, and all we could come up with was using it to make a pretty spot-on Teletubby costume. (But, at $50, it better be one fantastic Tinky Winky.) However, the inventors of this franken-shirt one-upped us with a list of utilities, including (but not limited to) "Broadcast(ing) a football game while enjoying a tailgate party," or "Play(ing) interactive games to entertain your kids while keeping your hands free." In general, we're skeptical of any product that makes our clothing the point of focus for tailgating bros. [From: Engadget]
