Picnics Not Weird Enough? Try This Rolling Japanese Watermelon Cooler

Now, a round cooler isn't such a terrible idea, and the existence of this device makes some sense knowing the high cost of Japanese fruit. Putting a watermelon inside a square cooler wastes space that could be otherwise used for cold beverages. But we have no clue why anybody would want to eat warm watermelon. Even if you are inclined to do so, there's a cheaper alternative fpr warming your watermelon -- the sun. [From: Joybond, via: Crunch Gear and Gizmodo]

I've probably invented more things than anyone including just yesterday the talking picture (your photo in a frame that is actually a video with sound). But, I try not to re-invent the wheel. Aquire one of those styrofoam coolers with wheels on it, place your melon, cantalopes, beverages, etc in it and fill the spaces around the melons with cold packs. Then, go on your picnic.....Alfred-

Watermelon at room temperature is more nutritious, according to some research.

RACIST! Everywhere you look, you find racism. Is it just me or has this use of the word "Racist" has been overused in the past 2 years?

$230 for a cooler for my watermelon? Ludicrous!! Besides it's only for ROUND watermelons. I prefer oblong watermelons so as far as I'm concerned this expensive piece of crap is useless. Oh yeah, and with those wheels so close to the bottom of the cooler, there's no way you could wheel that thing down to the water. It would bog down and you'd end up carrying it, the ice and the watermelon. Not a real smart design.

Breaking a watermelon with a baseball bat on the beach before eating it is a Japanese tradition. Lay off.
