Storm Troopers on NYC Subway, Munny Gets a Classic Kodak Makeover

storm troopers on the subway
There's a load of great tech news happening out there every day, and, unfortunately, we just can't cover it all. Here are a few of the other noteworthy things we saw today on our never-ending journey through the wild, wild Web.
  • Only in New York? The semi-annoying troupe of guerrilla thespians known as Improv Everywhere took their latest stunt to the 6 train on the subway, but at least this time they were wearing pants. Well, can you call those Stormtrooper plastic leg-guards "pants?" As Filmdrunk notes, this isn't so much "improv" as acting out the first scene of Star Wars, but local heartless New Yorkers seemed to enjoy it all the same. Check out the video at the link. • "GodBlock is a web filter that blocks religious content... When installed properly, GodBlock will test each page that your child visits before it is loaded, looking for passages from holy texts, names of religious figures, and other signs of religious propaganda." We don't have any comment on this but, you know, FYI. [From: Clusterflock]
  • There's precious little information available about this gorgeous design we spotted on the Behance Network, but here's what we could find out: either EmaStudio or designer Julien Ritter (are they one and the same?) produced this mashup of Kidrobot's classic Munny with the even more classic Kodak Brownie Hawkeye. Photos have been quietly floating the Internet at least since February, but we still don't know if this art/design camera is for sale or on view anywhere. [From: Behance Network]
