Old Spice Guy Proposes For Twitter Fan, Has Usurped Everything Masculine

Old Spice Guy
OK, now this is getting out of control. He took our cool, our precious YouTube time, and now, he's making our marriage proposals. As we reported earlier, the Old Spice guy has been going on a Twitter tear the past couple of days, sending out personalized, bite-sized thank-you-commercials to targeted celebrities, bloggers and plebeian followers. Throughout the campaign, he's received (and answered) plenty of random questions from his legions of fans. But none were quite as bold as what Johannes S. Beals asked.

As Mashable reports, Beals recently asked Mustafa, via a simple tweet, to propose to his girlfriend for him (you can witness it in all its smoothness after the jump). "Can U Ask my girlfriend to marry me? Her name is Angela A. Hutt-Chamberlin," read Beals' cry for help. Mustafa, in all his infinite masculinity, replied in a video, that he'd be "honored to honorably honor your honorable request." A brief, metaphor-laden soliloquy followed, along with the requisite candles and engagement ring. Within hours (yes, hours), Chamberlain replied, in a tweet at Old Spice, saying she'd be honored to honor Mustafa's honorable request on behalf of her wimp boyfriend. In order to prove that the stunt was the real deal, Beals later uploaded a picture of his new fiancee's newly ringed finger. Boom.

Moral of the story? If you can't work up the nerve to pop the question to your girlfriend yourself, just find some commercially compensated, shirtless, washboard-abbed actor to do it for you. It's a layup. [From: Mashable]
