We never thought we'd say it, but Kenny G is right, dammit. Of course, when being right requires nothing more than saying, "The Internet isn't dead," it's only worth so much. In a recent interview with the Associated Press, the smooth-jazz sax operator took his defiant stand in response to Prince's recent proclamation of the Web's demise. (And we thought Bono had the market cornered in pretending that obvious statements are radical. "AIDS is bad, mates.") Still, as is the case with that U2 blowhard, if you think exhibiting some degree of sense will get Kenny G off the hook for this, you're more mistaken than the Purple One could ever be. Some musicians open their mouthes and say some of the most incredulous things. Most time its political stuff that sounds real dumb. We don't like them for their political views, we like them for their music. Used to like Barbara Streisand, now can't stand her. Used to like Bono, now wish he'd keep his trap shut. The "Boss" has had his moments too. Really think Prince makes some of the best music on the planet, but now here he goes. The best part? Kenny G somewhat disagreed with him, rightfully so, and the bonus was got to see the new KG on his new video. Very cool.
