Watching Twitter tonight has taught me one thing, Phillies fans are a bunch of whiny dicks. But it's ok, every tank needs a bottom feeder.
And I thought I wanted to hug Johan last week. I think I'm officially in love.
Listening to Ra, glance at the notes and there's @AliveRecords. Nice cover, Mr. Boissel! @TheGloryFires #magiccityjams http://t.co/uT0M77VJ

With all that is facing this world we need to focus on those matters. You need to look at the inner person and not color. Its sad when one person can rose this much garbage and no-one stops to realize that he gets paid for his views to be printed.Try focussing on what each person brings to lifes banquet, and not the color of his/her skin.

Message to Joshua Fruhlinger, Editor, Switched.com:
Greetings;
Regarding "Switched" contributor Lee Bains, for his take on Caucasians, 7-8-10, available at:
http://www.switched.com/2010/07/08/throw-idarts-at-idartboard-with-sister-iphone-and-ipad-apps/?icid=main|htmlws-main-n|dl7|link5|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.switched.com%2F2010%2F07%2F08%2Fthrow-idarts-at-idartboard-with-sister-iphone-and-ipad-apps%2F
I am curious as to what kind of reprimand you have in mind for his role in inciting racial prejudice, that is painfully obvious in the "Comments" section below his piece.
I will include your reply in my column.
If you do not respond, I will include That in my column.
Your reputation is at stake.
Thanks.

To those who care, I actually received two responses from the Executive Director of Switched.com, Joshua Fruhling in other areas of Switched.
His first response invited me to email him at:
fruhlinger [at] engadget dot com
as he would be happy to talk.
(I have since decided that anything he would say should be said in front of those who cared enough to comment in the first place.
In his second response, he resorted to questioning my integrity, in an apparent attempt to outrun actually responding to my original question, which remains: What kind of reprimand (does he) have in mind for Lee Bains' role in inciting racial prejudice in the Comments Section of his July 8 piece.
Two things are interesting so far:
One, he wanted to deal with my question in private, instead of openly, and Two, he questioned my integrity, instead of stepping up and doing something Real Executive Like, as in answering a simple question.
So far, my piece is writing itself.
Thanks.

...am I missing something here? What is so offensive about this article? All I see are a couple harmless jokes about white people, darts, Apple products, and wine. How is this offensive? People need to chill out about using stereotypes in a humorous context. One of my best friends (who is black) joke around about fried chicken and country music all the time. The only thing I could see being offensive to that is the wine thing at the end, but even then if you take in context with the page it linked to, it's not really bad at all.

@PSN, just about everyone has friends of various heritage--In my case, family.
Joking with friends and family is one thing.
Inciting racial tension in a Simple Tech Column is far different.
Allowing it to happen, and willfully neglecting to address it is unforgivable.
This is why we're waiting to see what Joshua Fruhlinger does or does not do, regarding this piece by Lee Bains and the subsequent comments.

Tell you what, Scott. If you tell us who you write for, I'd be happy to give you a quote with my full name.
I don't resort to obfuscation, and passive-aggressive threats.
However, if you write as poorly as you seem to read, I'm not real concerned.
Also, what's with the random capital letters?
ScottJul 16th 2010 2:53PM
LOL, jon!
I couldn't care Less who you are.
This issue regards members of Switched.com management who are knowingly and willfully neglecting a problem caused by one of their writers.
I will grant that You are a cheap sideshow in this.
Where did I "threaten" you, jon?
Why does your name not begin with a capital letter?
Are you a Desperate Defense Attorney?
By weakly attempting to discredit me, you're acting Guilty of something, jon.
What could it be?
