If Lee Bains is black then he should be euthanized for writing this article.
If I wrote an article about how black people are excited that Apple designed a virtual fried chicken eating app the NAACP would have blown through my front door with a lawsuit filing bulldozer by now.

If hes white then hes a disgrace to the race.

What's this white people crap? My friend who is an American Black, that is what he likes to be called because as he puts it "I'm not from Africa, I'm an American first and a Black second!" He said your just the N-word and shouldn't post your Raciest sh-t on the Net and that the next time we chunk darts we'll pretend it's you we're throwing at! And Apple sucks!

Just when I begin to believe that racists have learned to keep their mouths shut and their opinions to themselves, along comes an article like this one. although this article is (mercifully) short, Lee Bains manages to fill it with racial swill. I suppose he thinks its all right to use racial epithets so long as it's aimed at whites, but he's wrong. We don't appreciate it any more than blacks do. I sincerely hope the editors at Switched read these comments, reprimand Mr. Bains and make him issue a public apology. I certainly intend to do all that I can to see it happen.

Sooo your all mad that he was poking fun of white people being the predominant purveyors of Apple products and the bar game darts?

I mean cmon seriously. This is what is wrong with America, political correctness BS. People in general are all too sensitive.

People give these mere words power by getting upset about them. Does anyone think i've ever gotten into a physical altercation because some one thought calling me a cracker or peckerwood would bother me?

Lets all pull our heads out of our rectums and get in an uproar over something that actually matters, not a 300 word tech article online. How about we take that anger and outrage and direct it at our corrupt and criminal government officials who deserve it?

Dont let them tell us what WE should be fighting over, it is all to keep us as a peoples divided and unorganized. United they fall, divded we ALL lose.

It's about the use of racial slurs and stereotyping that continues to pervade our society. When Martin Luther King made his "I have a dream" speech, it wasn't meant for blacks, it wasn't meant for whites... it was meant for ALL of us. It was a wakeup call to consider each other as people, not black people or white people...JUST PEOPLE!! Not today, not tomorrow, but in the future, there will come a time when the concept of race and discrimination due to skin color will be gone forever. Remember this...racism is TAUGHT! It is passed on from generation to generation. There's a short song in the broadway play, South Pacific. It's title is: "You Have To Be Carefully Taught." Download it and listen to it. You might just learn something.

Actually no it doesn't make me mad. Far from my friend. I find it humorous when ANYONE tries to use simple empty and meaningless words to hurt some one.

I'm far from country and am well traveled as well as posessing a varied group of friends and acquaintances of all cultures and races and religions. So your guess is as inaccurate as your assumption that those feeble words or any would domanything other than portray the users stupidity. We all know what happens when you make assumptions...

Guess what? Black, white, yellow, red, no matter what ther slur may be. It's power is usurped when you simply walk away from it refusing to be a victim or participant in such ignorance.

You also didn't take note of the end of my statement. Do you honestly think the true people in power of this country don't want a racial and religous divide? It's what keeps them in power. The fact that we the common people are to busy infighting amongst ourself over such petty quabbles is exactly what they hope for.

Only when everyone stops empowering the words will we move past them. Nothing more than the bullies in school.

We have to at some point wake up to what is being done to this country and everyone of us and then realize the only revolution will be with everyone side by side.

I totally disagree with estella bouton. We live in a country based on a Republic. We have a constitution. That constitution has a first amendment guaranteeing freedom of speech. Anyone, anywhere should be, and in fact is, free to write anything he or she chooses. But with that guaranteed freedom comes responsibilitiescand acceptance to the fact that others who read what you write may disagree, and who have their own right to openly criticize what you have written. Censorship, in any form, to any degree, however minor, is the first step on the road to communism and total loss of all freedoms.
