There's a load of great tech news happening out there every day, and, unfortunately, we just can't cover it all. Here are a few of the other noteworthy things we saw today on our never-ending journey through the wild, wild Web.
- In a bizarre agreement with the Psychic Octopus, despicable dating site and eugenics supporter BeautifulPeople.com has rated Spain's World Cup players as more attractive than those from the Netherlands. Unsurprisingly, the two teams in the finals have been rated hotter than all of the other competing teams because, you know, winning = beauty. [From: Buzzfeed]
- Vimeo user Surfap put together a looong video featuring the entire cheater's version of 'Super Mario Bros.' overlaid on a looong graffiti'd stretch of concrete ledge. Geekosystem reports that some incorrigible nerds have taken issue with the fealty of Surfap's representation to the original gameplay. Nerds, shut up. [From: Geekosystem]
- Roger Ebert continues his investigation of the value of video games in his most recent blog post. He'd only caved a few days earlier to widespread criticism of his assertion that video games could not be art, but now he's whimsically trying to draw a line between digital gaming and the Western literary canon. "I would sacrifice every video game in existence for the works of Shakespeare and not give it a moment's thought," he writes. Well, we might just do that, too. [From: Roger Ebert's Journal]

Investigation? More like "instigation." He keeps poking the hornet's nest and wondering why he gets stung.
