Lazy Wordpress Bloggers Can Actually Phone In a Post, Not Just 'Quote Wikipedia'
Good news, you lazy Wordpressers: the open-source blogging platform will now let you phone in a post -- just like the rest of us. (Badum! How could we resist?) Wordpress.com has just unveiled a "Phone Your Blog" tool that allows admins to dial in to Blog HQ, enter a super-secret access code, and record an audio snippet that will automatically post to your homepage. TheNextWeb notes that there's no transcription capability just yet, but the audio files will appear in your RSS feed for your legion of podcast subscribers/your mom. This just may signal a paradigm shift in how we do that whole "journalism" thing. Why, after all, should we have to sit up from the comfy confines of our crumb-laden beds to type a post when we can simply mumble sleepily into the phone, "Something happened with a Facebook somewhere. Nerds still like games and cats. Where's that burrito I left on the floor?" We freelancers will never need to put our sore fingerpads at the mercy of our vexing little keyboards ever again. The future! [From: The Next Web]
