iPhone Coming to Verizon in January, Bloomberg Says
Verizon iPhone, blah, blah, blah. We've heard before that Apple is hard at work on a CDMA version of the iPhone that will land on Verizon, and thereby eliminate the need for devoted Jobsians to suffer at the hands of AT&T's lackluster (but admittedly improving) service. Someone "familiar with the plans" told Bloomberg to expect the Apple handset to arrive on Big Red this January. Launching the highly successful iPhone onto the waters of "the nation's largest 3G network" after the holidays doesn't seem to make much sense. And we can guarantee you anyone who signed a new, two-year contract with AT&T to get the iPhone 4 isn't going to be all that thrilled. These rumors have surfaced, reached fever pitch, died, and resurfaced again several times in the last couple of years, so you'll have to forgive us for not putting too much stock in the chatter.
