The Anix Band Shoots First HD Music Video on iPhone 4

The song is a little 1999 (the guys having missed the Nu-Metal train by about ten years), but the video for The Anix's 'Enemy Eyes' is all 2010. Just a few minutes after one of the band's members got home with his iPhone 4, the group decided to see just what the built-in 720p camcorder could do. The results are quite impressive. Sure, a MacBook Pro was needed to add some effects and color correction, and the phone had to be taped to a tripod in order to steady many of the shots, but the fact that a quality video was coaxed out of a phone is impressive, regardless of any augmentation.

Click through the break to check out the video, which is loaded with all of the modern music video essentials -- shaky cam, out-of-focus musicians, lens flares and over-saturated colors. If this is a sign of things to come, the look of pro-quality music videos will soon be well within the reach of anyone with a knack for editing and a couple hundred bucks to spend on a smartphone.
