Walmart Selling iPhone 4 on June 24 Launch Day
If you count yourself among the masses of consumers itching to get your hands on the new iPhone 4 this month, you won't have to wait in line at your local Apple or AT&T store. Instead, you can just mosey on down to Walmart.According to CNET, the retail giant has officially announced that it will begin selling the iPhone 4 on June 24, the day Apple's newest phone arrives at the public's doorstep. Although Walmart has sold previous iPhone incarnations in the past, this marks the first time that the store will sell the device the very first day it drops. Engadget reports that Best Buy is also rumored to carry the newest iPhone on June 24, while Radio Shack employees have reportedly been telling customers that their franchise has been selected to sell the phone on opening day, as well.
Whatever the final list of select retailers looks like, it's reassuring to see that Apple's decided to share some of the burden. Swarms of customers and interminable lines at the Apple Store may be great for publicity, but they're not so great for satisfying a consumer demand that's guaranteed to be enormous. [From: CNET]

Blondegoddess if you recently got 3 Iphones for 400 bucks a piece you got RIPPED OFF!!!! Because the price is now 199.99 everywhere (it was dropped in anticipation of the new Iphone coming out soon). Anyways you guys are retarded as you did not get a deal, you overpaid.

I have 7 cats and 10 fish, each of them have an iPhone, but I didn't get the good deal, so I had to pay full price. The fish have already shorted them out and ruined them. The cats have scratched them all up and ruined them. My husband hates his and encased it in rubber and bounces it off the wall and ruined it; I gave mine to my 8-month old niece to play with and she ruined it. But what they hey, it's just money! So all of us are back to talking to each other face to face. What a drag.

You are so much better off going to either the Apple store or AT&T to get your i-Phone vs. Walmart. First of all, Walmart will get a small number of phones to get you in the store. Demand will exceed supply, like always. The folks selling the phones are notorious for messing up data plans or something simple, which means you will be going to AT&T to get it fixed. Also, preordering means you are guaranteed a phone, AT&T is shipping them directly to customers this year, so you can avoid standing in line.

Eventually they will allow cell phone jammers in this country as they do in all other parts of the world. If you are annoyed by someone talking on their cell phone or tapping on their text messaging, you reach in your purse or pocket and push a small button on your jammer and the nuisance is gone. Most theaters and many restaurants in Europe use jammers to keep customers happy. Go to E-Bay and type in "cell phone jammer" where there is a link to order one.

Anton..I too work at Walmart and believe you me..it isn't just in your store. I pray to God we do not have the long lines for those phones. As for those rude and obnoxious brats riding in the e-carts...now now be nice...they are going to spend absolutely NOTHING, wreak havoc, tear the store store up and I will make a wager that the $5.00 they MIght spend, $20.00 will go out in their pockets. I work the toy department and it is a free for all t here and I'm suppose to be nice....not when you disrespect me and the department I am held accountable for. I could go on and on but the article is about the iphones we will soon we having there. I have better things to spend that kind of money on, like my bills.
