With E3 taking place in Los Angeles next week, you can expect a flood of gaming news and announcements in the coming days. According to Engadget, Activision has gotten an early start by
confirming a fall launch date for 'DJ Hero 2.' The game (
pre-orders available now) will showcase beats from hip-hop mainstays Dr. Dre and Kanye West, hard-rockers Metallica, pop-megastar Lady Gaga and over 80 others. But, perhaps most exciting of all (for wannabe MCs, at least), this new installment will also feature a microphone peripheral. If you buy Activision's 'DJ Hero 2' bundle, you'll actually get two turntables and a microphone
[Ed. Note: Where it's at?!]. There will also be changes to the game's career and multi-player modes, along with a freestyle options for gamers who want to get creative.
Although
we enjoyed the first game, the DJ setup has a far higher learning curve than its guitar-based brethren, and adding a microphone to the mix could make it even tougher for casual gamers. But if 'DJ Hero 2' is accessible to even the rhythmless, all-night dance parties will undoubtedly get a little more nerdy in the fall. [From:
