Watching Twitter tonight has taught me one thing, Phillies fans are a bunch of whiny dicks. But it's ok, every tank needs a bottom feeder.

I hate how my husband (and his friends) get(s) "Friend Requests" from women with provocative profile pictures who are obviously trying to solicit sex on Facebook (I guess Craigs List is not enough for these ladies). These are complete strangers....not women from his past. He just clicks "Ignore" when he gets these requests and even though I trust him wholeheartedly, I still find it annoying. They diminish all the great things about this site. It's nice to reconnect with old classmates, coworkers and friends. If you're marriage is a strong, fullfilling and happy one then neither husband nor wife would look elsewhere for affection/attention.

If you have a great marriage then why is there a need to reconnect with old classmates and old friends, why stay in the past???? The Marriage is great then live in the present and move forward to the future.

My husband and both post a very nice picture of US in our profiles, to discourage any requests of that kind. (" See my picture?? Yes, I'm happily married.") :D

Just because I'm in a great marriage does not mean I do not cherish my FRIENDSHIPS from the past. I moved out of the state I was originally from and with being busy raising a family I've lost touch with a lot of them. No sir, I do not live in the past. Did you seriously even read and think about your comment before posting it? Tell me...friends that you make today....will you ignore them months from now because you do not want to live in the past? Doesn't make much sense to me. If it is true...then I feel sorry for you.

That is a very good idea...if it worked. My husband's friends have profile pics of them with their wives and even kids and it still does not deter these "girls" from trying to solicite. They're after anyone with a masculine name.

Sometimes it is not the person in the pic that is sending the request. It is facebook itself. If even one of your husbands friends "befriend" this person then facebook will automatically send a request to all the persons friends asking them to be friends also.
I kept getting stupid request all the time that said they are coming from friends when they were in fact coming from the facebook site and not my friends, I know for sure because I asked them, and they hadn't sent me any request. It's one of the things I don't like about facebook, which I don't even use anymore. I'm very close to just deleting my account. You can go into settings and fix it so it stops.

No offense, Jesse, but you're incredibly naive.
Outside of the fantasy world of porn, real women (especially not attractive ones) do NOT solicit random men for no-strings sex. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN.
These messages are from spambots, automated advertising messages sent from a program that is designed to collect information. Responding to them or giving them any information will result in being targeted with advertisements. Sometimes, the more sophisticated ones will even engage in AI "conversations" over instant messenger to lure men to "cam sites" where they will supposedly see them naked. These sites ask for a credit or debit card number, which of course will then be charged for whatever they can get.
There are no real women on the other end of these messages. Never. The only thing at risk is your inbox and your bank account. The goal is money, plain and simple. It's called "phishing". Look it up.
