'Like' Button Worm Weaseling Through Facebook

If you do, you'll be directed to a blank page, with a simple message reading, 'Click here to continue.' In fact, clicking anywhere on the page will plant the same link on your Facebook profile, with your own thumbs-up next to it, and the entire process starts again. Sophos has reportedly detected that user pages are being infected by Troj/lframe-ET, and points out that this current worm is spreading in much the same way that the 'Fbhole' virus permeated the network last month. What makes this particular outbreak so unique, though, is that it's not entirely unbelievable. As Sophos mentions, these kinds of stories or links are exactly the kinds of thing most people would like on Facebook, thus rendering them much less suspicious than, say, a 'Sexiest Video' link. But with a little bit of caution and second-guessing (plus following some ground rules), you'll be able to avoid temptation, no matter how harmless it may seem. [From: Sophos]

I hear this alot. So tell me why it is that Mac does not succumb to viruses?
annaewalstonJun 2nd 2010 5:58PM
Umm MACS are soon to become targets with their growing popularity by consumers. The PC is the targeted system b/c it hold 90% of share market still and viruses are created to do mass damage.

"Like, Why would I put my personal information on Facebook, MySpace, or any other I.D. skimming operation, in the First place?"
AKABrendaM09Jun 2nd 2010 5:21PM
I clicked a "Like" button last night, and my SpyWare immediately came up and blocked it saying it was a trojan virus.
I did get a virus on MySpace one time that I could not remove on my own. I had to take it to the shop to get it removed. That sucked.

I think this should be a felony and go to prison if anyone is cought making a virus and dont tell me they can find out who did it. thats bullshit I think these people should start to feel the court if someone has to pay 100 dollars to get there computer fixed thats a felony
