6pm.com Burns $1.6 Million After Mistakenly Pricing Everything at $49.99
This past Friday, a small computer glitch cost online retailer 6pm.com a cool $1.6 million, according to parent company Zappos.com. For an unspecified period of time on Friday morning, the brand discount site accidentally capped all of its exclusive offers at $49.99. (Deals that were jointly hosted by 6pm and Zappos were apparently unaffected.) As a result of this bargain blooper, online shoppers made off like looters, and the site took a massive hit. To their credit, 6pm and Zappos decided to honor those purchases, while apologizing for any inconvenience or confusion. There has been talk of this not being a mistake but a marketing ploy (looking at you, Gawker), but we'll give Zappos the benefit of the doubt. If the site really did make an honest mistake, by admitting the glitch and accepting the pricey consequences, it may have restored our faith in business ethics, as well. Yea, taking a look at some of their stuff i really doubt they meant to do this as a marketing ploy. I'm looking at their luggage sets thinking i could have used one of these 500 dollar sets at 10 percent of the cost. Or possibly some of these suits...

well if you guys knew anything about zappos then you would know they have a GREAT business ethic. they have a great business policy and they will basically talk to you on the phone for any length of time so you can get what you want where you want. I do not work for them i have just taken classes on customer service and everything I've learned is that they are awesome
