No Way, Pardner: Best Buy Tries to Install 'Red Dead Redemption' Game For You

Red Dead Redemption After suffering through significant delays and bickering developers, Rockstar finally un-holstered 'Red Dead Redemption' this week, six painfully long years after its prequel 'Red Dead Revolver' rode into stores. During that console drought, the number of quality Old West gun-slinging games could fit in a six-gun cylinder, with a couple of chambers to spare.

Capitalizing on that geeky desperation for desperadoes and horseback heroes, Best Buy is apparently continuing its infuriating trend of duping its customers. The chain has a history of "murphing," and has been specifically charged in the past with concealing Wii gear and offering to install PlayStation 3 consoles for a $130 fee, despite the effortless set-up directions provided by Sony.

According to some sneaky Geekosystem snapshots, the store is also now emblazoning its 'Redemption' packages with "Let Us Install It" stickers. Umm, how about a resounding "No" to that one? When potential shoppers decide to make their play for 'Redemption,' Best Buy might get just caught holding aces and eights in this consumer showdown. [From: Geekosystem]
