'Pixels' Short Film to Get Adam Sandlerized for the Big Screen
Now, Jean has teamed up with Adam Sandler's production company Happy Madison -- responsible for such classics as 'The Hot Chick' and 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop' -- to develop the short into a big-screen feature. Details are still thin, but, according to Heat Vision, the theater version will be an action-comedy in which 'Frogger,' 'Space Invaders' and the like escape their video game confines to wile out on the Big Apple. We're all for lowbrow, watch-the-planet-get-screwed-sideways flicks (like Roland Emmerich's entire body of work), but such a movie complemented by the visual genius of the original 'Pixels' and the Sandler production company leaves us mind-boggled. Oh please, Happy Madison, can you make sure that Rob Schneider gets the lead role? He always makes every movie better. [From: Heat Vision Blog]

I bet it won't be that bad and it will probably be a KIDS movie. Nut go ahead and trash it, it's not like anyone reads this anyway, while Sandlers movies, say what you want about them, are consistently winners at the box office and entertain kids. The funny thing is that he is often criticized for his sophomoric humor, but in the end of almost all his movies there is a fairly positive message. Not every movie is going to be Citizen Kane and it's not like he's remaking a work of art here. He's actually giving somebody who probably only dreamed about something like this an opportunity. But you go ahead and keep making smarmy 2 paragraph blog posts on aol.com. I'm sure you'll go far with that.
Have a good weekend, if you can tell the difference.

Most of these are Atari, not Nintendo. In fact you can see the Atari building at about 1:23.
