NES Gamer Busts a Move Using a DDR Pad All the Way Through 'Mario'

Conquering a 'Mario' game merely with one's thumbs ceased being impressive decades ago. Bored yet devoted gamers have hence constructed numerous methods of toppling Bowser and his henchmen without having to physically handle a controller, including impressive computer programs and a system which harkens back to the powerless days preceding the Gilded Age.

Controller-free NES junkie Nick Hagman has now demonstrated a new manner of maneuvering through the many levels of 'Super Mario Bros.,' and he apparently managed to do it with a Dance Dance Pad. Hagman, who has previously stepped his way through 'Castlevania,' posted a video of his 'Mario' moves on YouTube (check it out after the jump), and the accomplishment required 15 attempts and almost two weeks of toe-tapping training. Hagman is now soliciting votes for his next Dance Dance exploits, and 'Mega Man 2' is currently enjoying a sizeable lead over 'Duck Tales.' [Ed. Note: Results are in. 'Mega Man' wins.]

While each game presents entertaining possibilities, for some true old-school NES action, Hagman needs to figure out a way to topple these games using the original Power Pad, or -- better yet -- the ridiculous Rock & Roller. [From: Geekosystem]
