Ellen Degeneres Hurts Apple's Wittle Feewings With iPhone Joke

Turns out, Apple reps contacted Degeneres after the piece ran and voiced their disapproval over her segment, which they claimed had made the iPhone seem difficult to use. (Because, y'know, it's not.) In the skit, Ellen poses as an Apple commercial spokesman in a fake spot for the iPhone. She fumbles around, bungles a text message and makes typically Ellenesque neurotic commentary. Knowing chuckles from the audience ensue.
Yesterday, as Engadget reports, Degeneres went on the air to formally apologize to Apple. And while she was doing that, she also took time to profess her unbridled love for the company, waxing poetic about her iPad and iPhone, before finishing up with a heartfelt apology to "Mr. Jobs" and "Mr. Macintosh." The hurried, nervous cadence with which she delivers the mea culpa makes it seem almost as if Apple's got someone behind the sofa, holding a gun to her back. Then again, considering the company's recently draconian civic track record, Ellen may have good reason to be tense. [From: Engadget]

Apple sucks, iPhone, ipad, & ithisnthat all are very hard to use. They probably threatened to pull ad spending with the network or show.
