Google Kills Nexus One on Verizon, Says Buy an Incredible Instead

When our pals at Engaget asked about the missing "Coming Soon" tag, Google confirmed that the planned Verizon Nexus One had been canceled in light of the "amazing innovation happening across the open Android ecosystem." As Engadget points out, The Incredible runs HTC's Sense UI on top of Android, meaning it's not quite an exact Nexus One replacement. Still, it sounds like an impressive phone, and we certainly wouldn't refer to buying one as settling for less. Still, if you want the full, proper Android experience on Verizon, your only option for now is the Droid. [From: Engadget]
