Facebook disabled the account, as is standard practice with any profile that is judged to be fraudulent, but the site gave no indication to ABC that it had launched any investigation into the page's origin. Andrew Noyes, a spokesperson for the social network, told ABC that this was just one of dozens of attempts to register an account in the name of the al Qaeda leader.
