Earlier today,
Google gave us all a little hint as to how it plans to handle printing on
Chrome OS and other mobile devices.
Google Cloud Print aims to let users print from Web-connected device to any Web-connected printer. Rather than trying to support countless combinations of hardware, operating systems and printers, Cloud Print will handle requests directly from the Web. Google will send requests to a nearby printer, although it's not yet clear how it plans to identify the appropriate device. This means, theoretically, you could print from a laptop, netbook or mobile phone to your home printer -- regardless of where you physically are.
Google has posted
documentation about the project, and made an early version of the
code available to developers. Google Cloud Print is still in the early stages, so don't expect to see it in the wild anytime soon. Still, it will be nice when we no longer have to download a PDF from Google Docs before printing. [From:

wouldn't it be easier if the moment the dog sat down (meaning it found a survivor), it would automatically send out a GPS signal? That seems more logical and less time consuming in a time of emergency, therefore more effective. But maybe this is just for testing purposes.
