New Show Takes 'Mythbusters' Formula to Video Game Concepts

Have you ever wondered how a video game would work in real life? Well, the folks behind the massively popular 'Red vs. Blue' series are about to help you find out. The Rooster Teeth team recently unveiled a pilot for a show called 'Immersion.' According to DVICE, the program will explore what happens when you take video game concepts and apply them to the real world. Think of it as 'Mythbusters,' but with even more nerds and mayhem. The pilot explores what would happen if somebody drove in third-person, which is common in games like 'Grand Theft Auto.'

To test this, the team attached a high-definition camera to a steel beam and hooked it to a truck's trailer hitch. All the windows on the vehicle were blacked out to ensure nobody cheated. Only a small monitor mounted on the dash would guide the driver through a course lined with orange traffic cones and blow-up doll pedestrians. What was the result? You can watch the video after the break to find out, but it doesn't take a genius to guess this is a recipe for disaster (and comedy).

Let's hope this show gets picked up for more episodes. After all, we've always wanted to see a guy try to fly with nothing more than a raccoon tail attached to his pants and some little ears attached to his hat. [From: Rooster Teeth and DVICE]
