LED MotionLites Highlight Your Rims, Eligibility to Star in Jersey Shore

Well, this crew of largely questionable drivers (with even more questionable taste) has likely found its new must-have accessory: MotionLites. MotionLites are comprised of LED lights mounted on six-inch retractable arms, placed in the wheel well. Simply pressing a button on the included remote causes the arm to extend, and the light to blast your rims with seven different hues of illumination. They're $500. They're useless. And they're tacky, and they'll sell like hot cakes on the south shore of Staten Island. [From: MotionLite, Via: Oh!Gizmo]

Wow, tell us how you REALLY feel about LEDs on rims. Objective information at its best

We never made any claims to be completely objective. We're a technology blog, not the news section of the Wall Street Journal or the New York Times.

Backing Terrence up, here: as the de facto design writer at Switched, I will concur that LED rims are 100% unacceptable, and fug to boot.
