Get the Masters Online; Forgo the Azaleas, Bloody Marys and Adultery

This year, perhaps more than any before, millions will tune in to watch the 2010 Masters Tournament, which begins on Thursday. While some credit is due to Tiger Woods and his off course 'shenanigans,' recent advances in streaming online video will play a part, too.

NewTeeVee reports that there are two go-to sites for live golf coverage this weekend: CBSSports.com and Masters.com. These sites will offer about 86 hours of live golf from Augusta National Golf Club. That's about a 50-percent increase from last year. But watching online also means you get more options than a traditional telecast. For example, the Featured Group Channel focuses on a specific group of golfers, while other channels focus on a certain hole or even the entire field of players. Not only do you get this comprehensive coverage, but there's also video archives and news updates on the sites. If you're an AT&T user, there's the U-verse TV 2010 Masters app, too, which gives you a live scoreboard, updates, a course map and more on your cell phone. For those of you lucky enough to be home during the tournament, the Masters will be broadcast in 3-D on your television or computer (if you have the appropriate hardware). ESPN will air the first two rounds, and CBS will air the last two rounds -- both, of course, in high definition.

All in all, you have plenty of options when it comes to this year's tournament. Think of yourself, the viewer, as Tiger Woods, and the Web as your virtual 'playground.' Just don't let your boss catch you peeping. Ask Tiger, it's not worth it. [From: NewTeeVee]
