Seats3D Helps You Find Your Baseball Seats in the Third Dimension

Baseball season, believe it or not, is upon us once again, which means that the hunt is officially on for the perfect set of stadium seats -- those mythical perches where you can post up, pop open a beverage and get a great view of the game. While most of us rely on online bird's-eye view maps to help decide which tickets to buy, it's virtually impossible to tell what the actual view will be like, and just how much of the field you'll be able to see. A new site, however, hopes to make the process a whole lot clearer by actually simulating what a given pair of seats might look like in 3-D.

Created by Ballena Technologies, Seats3D allows users to see a three-dimensional rendering of a baseball, football or basketball stadium in its entirety, and sample a simulated view from any chosen seat. As LifeHacker reports, users can pan back and forth to get a panoramic view of everything around a given spot. Judging from the partial list of clients, it seems like you can only use Seats3D to scope out a handful of MLB stadiums, and a few more NBA and NFL arenas. So, it might not be the most comprehensive tool, and you'll still run the risk of landing next to a screaming baby or a belligerent bro. But Seats3D, at the very least, makes looking for tickets a lot more fun. [From: LifeHacker]
