Al Gore Wants YouTubers to Go Green With Volunteer Earth Day Vids

Everybody's favorite vice president and climate-change decrier Al Gore is asking YouTube users for some help this month. According to Mashable, Gore and his organization, the Alliance for Climate Protection, are asking people to create videos that both describe the importance of going "green" and urge political leaders to change current climate policies. On Earth Day, which falls on April 22nd, the top three videos will be selected and posted on YouTube's homepage. It's part of the site's 'Video Volunteer' section, which will highlight climate change during the month of April. "This Earth Day, we need more than just another celebration; we need a revolution," Gore says in the video after the break.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, which will be celebrated by more than a billion people across 190 countries. You have until April 19th to submit a video for consideration. We're not guaranteeing that Gore will actually watch them... however, the millions of other people that visit YouTube might. That's quite an audience, too, you know. [From: Mashable]
