Seton Hill University Giving Out iPads Like They're Macs. That Are Free.

Clearly, the university's plan is to have the iPad used as an electronic textbook. If combined with the iBook store and iTunes U, the iPad could prove to be a legitimately powerful educational tool. But here's the rub: the iPad also has access to a vast well of time-sucking games, and, as with many first-generation products, is sure to have its fair share of bugs. We guess that Seton Hill doesn't have a problem with turning its entire student body into guinea pigs for Apple. [From: Seton Hill University, via: TUAW]

It is about time the school uses the tuition money for something other than themselves. Because they sure don't pay there other staff anything like they pay there higher ups, big wigs whatever you want to call em.

I believe that repairs should be done to these schools instead of I-Pad giveaways and faculty gifts and bonuses. What happened to the cutbacks of the staff where so many lost jobs and cutting back hours because the colleges don't have the funding to pay there staff.
