Netflix Lets Wii Users Into the Watch Instantly Party

E-mail notifications and a post on the Netflix blog let loyal Nintendo customers know that the 'Watch Instantly' discs were in the mail and the first ones should arrive on doorsteps as early as today. Unfortunately for Mario fans, the Wii won't be capable of streaming any HD content, but since much of Netflix's streaming library is still in standard def, most users probably won't miss it.

We're waiting to hear from Wii owners what the Netflix experience is like on the least powerful of the current generation of consoles. Now it's just us (angry) Linux users (Ed. Note: Sorry Terrence!) are standing alone -- locked out of the Netflix streaming party. [From: Netflix, Via: Engadget]

How's the load time on videos?
PaulMar 26th 2010 8:42PM
It's not bad at all, maybe 15-20 seconds longer than my roku takes to load.
I have it on a standard def TV and it looks great. It's good to have the kid off the living room set and into the "game room"

Pleasantly surprised at the entire experience...load time was pretty fast and pic quality was pretty damn good for standard def on a 60 inch HDTV...just don't get too close.
