As with 3G service, one needs a 3G network which also means one needs 3G towers. Will there be enough 4G towers to run the 4G network? If one isn't in an area where there is a 4G tower, will it work on a 3G or lower network? Since they aren't talking about the 4G data plan yet, will that data plan be comparible to the 3G data plan and will be unlimited? Before I would put my money down on a 4G phone, I feel there are still a lot of questions that will need answered. I guess working with technology has made me a little skeptical. But I look forward to see how well it works.

Irene

Comments on HTC Evo Brings 4G-Powered Android Superphone to Sprint

Sprints 4G network is nationwide and has coverage in all of sprints markets. This phone will work when no 4 G network on the slower standard 3G networks. Data plans are alwasy what you buy. I've always made compromises when buying a new phone. I'll get something I like but not the one I love, just to save money. Then I quickly tire of having an already out-dated device. Technology is almost impossible to keep up with. No matter what you get today it will be an inferior device in only a matter of months (sometimes not even that). But I've been thinking, if I'm going to spend the money on a device that I will be stuck with for the next two years, I might as well buy the one I absolutely love. I might as well buy the best one I can right now.

Of course I'm still just waiting and crossing my fingers for the unveiling of the cost of the device. The ONLY deciding factor in this, for me, would be the cost of the device and if the cost of the service would be any different than the plans Sprint currently offers.

http://www.Evo4Gforum.net is dedicated to HTC Evo 4G, check it out folks.c

coolfx35

Comments on HTC Evo Brings 4G-Powered Android Superphone to Sprint

Sweet phone, But what I want to know is, what about playing tunes? does it have an i-pod type app, and if so, will it play all my existing i-tunes music or does it need to be in mp3 format? and how much music can it hold.
