Got Ghosts? Apparently, They May Be Auctionable Online

According to GeekoSystem, an unnamed man recently placed on the auction site Trade Me two vials supposedly containing ghosts and holy water. The seller claims the spirits were captured in July during an exorcism at his own house. He even goes so far as to describe the ghosts, writing on the auction page that one is a man named Les Graham who died in the house. The other, he claims, is the spirit of a little girl who "likes to move things and turn things on and off." Best of all, the spirits haven't reached their expiration dates yet. The seller says you can release the ghosts into your own house (although, we don't know why you would) by simply pouring the liquid into a dish and letting it evaporate.
As of Thursday afternoon, the high bid was right around $700. That's no small price to pay, but we guess the upside makes it worthwhile. After all, every Joe Six-Pack keeps cats, dogs or other pets around, but who has a ghost-in-residence? [From: GeekoSystem and Trade Me]

This is funny because I am ready a children story from my country, Bangladesh, called "Bothol Bhoot" which means Bottle Ghost, literally. It's about a kid who has a tiny ghost in a bottle.

This is just ludicrous. It can't be done. I have been helping people with real hauntings over 30 years.
This is some one taking advantage of all the ridiculous information on TV.
On a moral not; if it were possible would this not be akin to slavery or abduction? LOL

"Real hauntings" ? Really ? And you use the term "ludicrous" when writing of something unapproved from your vantage point, but not of your own "paranormal" foolishness ?
"This is some one taking advantage of all the ridiculous information on TV"
As opposed to your taking advantage using the ridiculous information you rely on "helping people with real hauntings" ?

hm i should fill two small vials with colored water and auction them off as ghosts. i could use $1000 right now

I keep a very open mind and if the price was a little more reasonable, then I would go ahead and "experiment" with this, but there are boundaries. And a set of unspoken rules, when it comes to the paranormal. #1. You don't use an exorcism if your house is haunted by a little girl and man. #2. You simply can't (unless someone figured out a way and no one told me) put ghosts in a vial of holy water and transfer them from house to another. #3. Unless you're extremely stupid, you don't put ghosts in your house and then go crying to the nearest paranormal team that a ghost scared you. And if you really want to experiment with ghosts do me and every hard-working paranormal team a favor, and be sure you know how to get rid of whatever comes through. (sorry if my spelling's not perfect)

IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE SOMEBODY'S BEEN SMOKING SOMETHING WAY TOO STRONG FOR 'EM & AIN'T SHARING IT. IT NEVER FAILS TO AMAZE ME WHAT PEOPLE WILL COME UP WITH NEXT TO TRY TO TURN A BUCK. PUT DOWN THAT JOINT ( OR PASS IT HERE!!!) & STOP TRYING TO SELL GHOSTS......JEEZ, WHAT NEXT???

Why is it that everyone ( or almost everyone) that leaves a post on these stories is ALWAYS the paranormal investigator or some sort of "ghost expert". I would think with all these so called "experts" there would be far more listings in the yellow pages for them ( found NONE). Yet, I've never seen an ad for them in the news paper, magazines ( except for The News and Star magazines), or even one little ad on T.V. So, unless your name is Grant, Jason, or Steve and you have a huge hit of a T.V. show lose the so called expertise.

LOLOLOL...hysterical! I wonder if anyone will actually buy this!

Maybe I should do mine in red food coloring so no one gets confused. Who ever winds up paying the most for this deserves to be separated from their money.

Wow, this is getting really sad. First people bid on a piece of toast with Jesus on it, and how bottels of water with ghosts? I guess our economy isn't that bad because it's already up to $700.00. It amazes me at how gulable people are!

This is the reason I usually don't comment on these kinds of boards.
tyrebitre you are absolutely correct anomalous investigation is unable to hand a spirit up as evidence. Rhine Institute and UCLA have not been able to offer up any proof that a spirit continues on after death.
We had reported this story on asylumcam.com when it appeared in the news.
Every twenty years or so there is a huge resurgence of interest in all things unexplained. I will admit that this recent fad of TV shows has me concerned.
The paranormal cash cow has arrived. People looking for easy money are luring in easy marks. Ghost are making money.
I will be the first person to say I have an entirely different definition of "Haunting" than Websters dictionary.
A haunting (in my opinion) is something which the individuals involved have not been able to identify. It is having a negative impact on their lives.
It could be a environmental problem or an emotional problem. It could be abuse. The problem is causing them or their families to not function normally.
In olden times expressions such as "Haunting beauty" meant the person was obsessed by the beauty. The individuals involved in a haunting are convinced something unexplainable is happening. They can become obsessed with the idea a spirit is attacking them.
Some one has to care. That's where I come in.
I have referred people and families for counseling. I never taske a case to find a spirit. I take cases to help the people involved. Some one has too.
I have seen a lot of things which main stream science will tell us does not happen.
I implore people to:
Think things through and look for explanations before calling any one in to investigate. Look for chemicals which might be leaking fumes. Pool choline in a basement for the winter. Cleaners, furniture chemicals. Have carbon monoxide detectors. If you can, get accredited inspectors in to look for environmental issues.
Electromagnetic fields do not affect all people the same. I have seen people hallucinate from a old clock radio near their head at night. Others seem fine with a room full of electronics. If your hearing voices or having bad dreams.. try removing electronics from the sleeping area for at least 4-6 weeks. If things improve you have the culprit. This is especially true for children. Remove electronics and batteries and all that from their bedrooms. It is a sleeping room.
Remember TV shows are about making money. No viewers, no money. They have to keep you interesting. Its entertainment not a tutorial.
A real investigation is boring.
Never ever pay some one to help you. I don't care who they are.
Never leave any one alone in your home. Watch what they are doing. Make sure your not allowing a thief loose in your home.
If you have money to spend on silly things by all means buy the vials, or haunted dolls and objects on ebay.
I personally can't wait for the bottom to fall out of this nightmare.
