The 15 Best Digital Athletes in Sports Gaming History

The go-to-player -- every sports gamer has one. It doesn't matter if you're a fan of the athlete in real life or not. When it comes time to fire-up that console, allegiances are set aside in order to win bragging rights over your buddy. For us, that guy was University of Georgia running back Herschel Walker in 'Bill Walsh College Football.'

We're sure you have your own choices, too. So do the guys over at the Bleacher Report. They compiled a list of 'The 15 Best Players in Sports Video Game History.' It's pretty exhaustive, with classics like QB Eagles (otherwise known as Randall Cunningham) from 'Tecmo Bowl' and 'Madden '92.' If that doesn't ring a bell, former Atlanta Falcon quarterback Michael Vick made the list from 'Madden 2004.' Of course, baseball-great Reggie Jackson made his appearance in 'RBI Baseball.' Really, we totally agree with most of the choices (Reggie Bush, Lawrence Taylor, Mike Tyson, Bo Jackson).

But one omission that has us scratching our head is Michael Jordan from, well, any game. How did "His Airness" not make it? Not to mention "The Great One," Wayne Gretzky, is noticeably absent, despite being unstoppable in 'NHL '94.' In our opinion, these are more egregious errors than Bill Buckner's World Series bungle. Well, unless you're a Red Sox fan. [From: Bleacher Report]
