Dual Powerbooks Shred Powder as a DIY Snowboard

We've seen old electronics recycled into art before, but some German dudes have gone and found an entirely new use for a couple of old laptops. According to Engadget, enterprising mountain enthusiasts took two Apple Powerbook G4s and fused them together to create a snowboard. They took a power drill to the laptops and removed unnecessary parts (for optimal lightness), attached bindings (for security), filed down the titanium (for, well, grindage), and, finally, the guys hit the slopes. In the video (after the break), the men demonstrate their 'how-to.'

As you might expect, the guys spend more time on their backsides than they do standing up. It's like watching a nerdy, European version of 'Jackass' (minus the nudity and cursing). There's even the required terrible soundtrack to accompany these shenanigans. Watch and laugh as they face-plant, tumble, and roll all over the snowy slope, despite the intention of a smooth ride. For comedy, we'll give them a 10, but for practicality, these guys get a big, fat goose egg. In other words, don't expect Shaun White to carve up the half-pipe with this Apple brand bad boy during the next Winter Games. [From: Engadget]
