PCWorld Crowns AT&T Cellular Data King

PCWorld tested bandwidth and reliability across 13 major U.S. cities, and found that, while AT&T lagged behind on reliability in some cities (though not by as much as you'd imagine), the provider simply trounced the competition in terms of raw speed. On average, across 51,000 individual tests, AT&T was 67-percent faster than the competition on downloads, and improved its own average by 84-percent since tests were last performed eight months ago. Uploads were a similar case, with AT&T averaging 773 kbps, and second-place Verizon only managing 434 kbps. It looks like some of AT&T's hard work is finally starting to pay off.
