Olympics 2.0: The Best of Vancouver 2010 on the Web

The 2010 Winter Olympics are raging in Vancouver, and a slew of medals have already been awarded. If you're looking for the best way to keep track of the games, you now have more options than you could imagine -- thanks to the Web.

Thankfully, Tech Crunch has compiled a list of the sites that'll best keep you abreast of the Winter Games. The granddaddy of them all happens to be NBC's Olympic site, which has up-to-the-minute news and highlights, hosts athlete profiles, and even streams tweets from U.S. athletes. As usual, Facebook isn't a bad way to go, either; there's a fan page that compiles updates from athletes' Facebook pages. Google has also re-tooled its search engine (and its logo) to make it easier for Olympic fans to get information about the Games. Using Google's mobile search, you can type the name of your favorite sport or event, and Google will deliver game results, medal counts and schedules. Lastly, the Vancouver 2010 site offers maps of the area, schedules, and -- like many others -- plenty of results from the Games. When we think about it, there are probably more interesting Winter Olympic Web sites than there are interesting Olympic events [From: Tech Crunch]
