Microsoft Stuns With Windows Phone 7 Series
Earlier today, Microsoft announced the impressive new Windows Phone 7 Series operating system at Mobile World Congress 2010. Forget what you've seen from earlier Windows Mobile operating systems; Windows Phone 7 Series is an enormous leap forward for Microsoft's smartphone efforts. It features a completely revamped interface (similar to the Zune HD), integration with Xbox Live and Zune, and a heavy emphasis on social networking connectivity. The interface is heavy on images and clean type, a departure from the icon-based designs of webOS/Android/iPhone OS. At the Barcelona conference, Microsoft revealed carrier partnerships with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile USA and others worldwide. Slated for a "holiday 2010" release, the 7 Series will be running on hardware from a range of manufacturers, including HTC, Dell, Sony Ericsson, HP, and more.

Basing from the reviews and sideglances on the Windows Phone 7, it appears its a bold yet refreshing way for a mobile OS
to start.
I think MS has done a pretty good job to show 'simplicity' over this platform. If they can improve the marketplace of this phone then I believe this could set a new tone for the mobile industry: http://bit.ly/windows-phone-7-opinions

I cant understand this os that much... i guess i will have to try it when i can. But the whole boxy thing looks cluttered and annoying. I dont want to have to scroll down to reveal the rest of my main screen. This is a bunch of bloat when i want something extremely simple for the main screen. I'm extremely happy with android because it does a good attempt to simplify the process by allowing you to move things around.
