BlackBerry Saves Woman From Speeding Bullet, Stupid Boyfriend

An Ohio woman was recently watching her boyfriend play around with his handgun at a Dayton restaurant, when calamity struck. As the biffie was putting the pistol back in his pocket, it unexpectedly discharged, directly at the woman's leg. Luckily, her BlackBerry was inside her pocket, and intercepted the bullet, Superman style. According to ABC 30 Fresno, the only serious casualty was the woman's jeans -- and, of course, the BlackBerry. As police pointed out, things could've been much, much more serious, and the woman was remarkably lucky to walk away virtually unscathed. The boyfriend, on the other hand, is facing a bit more trouble; he's been arrested and charged with third-degree felony possession of a firearm in a liquor-licensed establishment.
We can't tell you how many times we've nonchalantly played around with our illegal firearms, but never have we had anything like this happen to us. Still, we've learned our lesson, now: we'll never again bring our guns into liquor stores without our trusty BlackBerry to keep us out of harm's way.
