iPhone 'BirdBox' Brings the Sweet Sounds of the Outdoors Into Your Bedroom

According to Gizmodo, the bundled hardware and software turn your iPhone or iPod Touch into a bird's nest/alarm clock. You pay $12.75, and a cardboard birdhouse will show up in your mailbox. (It comes in four colors.) Then, you download the "free" app to your device. It's a standard alarm clock, and includes features like snooze and night mode. But the BirdBox also displays video of real, chirping baby birds while you sleep. Just plug in your phone, drop it inside the birdhouse, tap the screen, and enjoy the sights and sounds of winged, disease-carrying critters.
Essentially, it's a digital cuckoo clock for the young and hip crowd. It might not have all the bells and whistles of the one hanging on your grandmother's wall, but it sure costs less and looks sleeker when it's sitting on your bedside table. [From: Gizmodo and Lucky Bite]
