Barnes and Noble Nook Finally in Stock, Still Not That Compelling

Well, Barnes and Noble has finally ramped up production and removed the "out of stock" label on its Web site. Just in time for Valentine's Day, the Nook is available from BarnesandNoble.com for the usual list price of $259. If you want to check one out before dropping more than two bills on it, the company says that the devices will be in most Barnes and Noble stores by mid-week, as well.
It's great that the Nook is finally available, but it doesn't change the fact that the Android-powered e-reader was an all-around disappointment. That said, Barnes and Noble recently improved the Nook with a software update that, Engadget notes, makes the device far more responsive (don't miss the video at the end). [From: Engadget]
