Pee-Wee Loves the iPad, Chairry Stays Mum

Dang! It's barely been 48 hours since Steve Jobs unveiled "the most important thing" he's ever done, and now everyone has gotten on the iPad heehaw bandwagon. Paul Reubens, a.k.a. Pee-Wee Herman, got together with the jokers at Funny or Die and somehow managed to film an iPad spoof, with original 'Pee-Wee's Playhouse' sets, in that short period of time. After some requisite feminine napkin jokes, Pee-Wee learns that Magic Screen can read books better than iPad, and that Globey, unlike the tablet, can multitask. Pee-Wee ends up using the iPad as a serving tray. Zing!

Our only question: where is Jambi?! We can think of so many Mac gags lost by his absence. Mac-a-lecca hi, Mac-a-hiney ho? Too easy. [From: Funny or Die]

John Paragon, who played Jambi and the voice for Pterri, is alive. Oh! He also played a flight attendant in 'Airplane II: The Sequel' (uncredited).

Yes, Jambi is very much alive. Phil Hartman (who played Captain Carl on the show), commited suicide and, sadly, is no longer with us.

Pee Wee wasn't origionally designed for children, his stage show, as well as the subsequint cable specials were all written for adults. It was the execs who thought it would make a great kids show, providing he tone it down for the kids. It worked very well, until news got out about "the incident". Needless to say (though I will), we are humans, we are flawed, we all make mistakes and hopefully, we learn from those mistakes and become better people for it. He didn't murder anyone, he didn't beat up his wife repeatedly, he's not a klepto, he hasn't harmed anyone, and yet, some of you act like he should be stoned to death over an extremely minor incident showing a lack of good judgement at the time. You people should be ashamed of yourselves for making someone suffer as long as he had over something so small(no offense P.W.). It sickens me to think our society has come to this. What happened is in the past, it's over, just leave him alone. Look in a mirror and kill the first person you see who isn't the most perfect being on the planet and has never made a mistake, done wrong or sinned in any way whatsoever. Good luck with that. This really is pathetic...How many times can it be re-enforced?....Paul is a man,not pee-wee...''This perv,shouldnt be around children''....Shut the hell up now.I guess you've never masturbated,and if you have,you should never be around children again? Piss off.......Pee-Wee the character was more original,and fun than ANY ''modern'' childrens show on today or since.On top of that,part of the real shame is the fact that when you watched pee-wee,you could really get a sense that elements of this character were very close to paul's heart,a reveal of his own,inner child. We could set here all day and argue ''Morality'' issues,but the man was not dressed up like pee-wee in this Adult theater (now THAT would be kinda freaky ;-) I would love to see his limited run LIVE show,and I fully support any return to t.v. or film again..I've bought the dvd set of the t.v. series,and now my little one loves pee-wee just like her da-da does. We would visit Pee-Wee and the gang @ the playhouse any day of the week....

PEE WEE is a pervert!!! HE should never be allowed access to kids. I think he's disgusting. So what if he wasn't dressed in character. Would you allow your kids to be alone with him? Probably NO. Ipad will probably lose sales over him being seen with one.

How sad is it at like age 55, this bum is still playing up the Pee Wee Herman character. WTF is wrong with this world today? What blows my mind is that Apple is actually using him to push their product..That is whats scary.

if ignorance is bliss, then you must be the happiest person on earth! what about buffalo bob, bozo the clown, captain kangaroo and mr. greenjeans? they were well into their senior years as they played their respective characters. do you have nothing negative to say about them? by the way, he was make fun (mockery, parody) of apple. he is not used by them as a spokesman. it must be very nice in your world.

Phil Hartman was killed by his wife. Shot in the head while he slept in bed. He did NOT commit suicide. People should know what they are talking about before they write anything.

FYI- Phil Hartman did not commit suicide. His drug-addict wife shot him in the head while he was sleeping then turned the gun on herself committing suicide.

Article:: Brynn started a "heated" argument with Hartman, who threatened to leave her if she started using drugs again, and went to bed. While he slept, Brynn entered the bedroom shortly before 3 a.m. with a .38 caliber handgun and fatally shot him twice in the head and once in his side. She was intoxicated, and had recently taken cocaine.

Brynn drove to the home of her friend Ron Douglas and confessed to the murder but initially he did not believe her. The pair drove back to the house in separate cars after which Brynn called another friend and confessed a second time. Upon seeing Hartman's body, Douglas called 911 at 6:20 a.m. Police subsequently arrived and escorted Douglas and the Hartmans' two children from the premises. Brynn had locked herself in the bedroom, and committed suicide by shooting herself once in the head.

Phil Hartman is still missed to this day.

isn't it odd that all these people are still castigating paul reubens? i have only one question for those throwing stones: how many of you have visted internet porn sites or have ever taken a cursory glance at playboy, etc? look in the mirror at the hypocite before you. as for the idiotic comment about his being around children: consider that as an adult he was in an adult theater watching an adult movie. NEVER was there an issue with children. yet you have probably watched roman planski movies without a second thought to that child molester; or you listen to r. kelly music, etc. just shut up! and crawl buck under the rock from which you (unfortunately) emerged!
