The Gates Notes Shares What's On Bill Gates' Mind
If following Bill Gates on Twitter just wasn't doing it for you, then hold on to your panties, Windows fans. Billy-G has launched a new Web site, called The Gates Notes, as a way to chronicle his experiences traveling the world and to share conversations he's had with experts about the issues most important to him.

The site, essentially a meticulously categorized blog, offers distinct sections: what he's thinking about, what he's learning, and where he's traveling. There is also a section dedicated to questions from schoolchildren, and a section for poignant questions from readers. There are also videos of interviews with "contemporary problem solvers." Topics range from philanthropy to capitalism, from global warming to renewable energy, from combating diseases to the tragedy in Haiti.

Though the site has just launched, and though it remains to be seen how frequently Gates manages to post new content, we're already pretty intrigued. So, while Steve Jobs is standing around on stage showing off the newest i-whatever-it-is, Gates will be using his retirement to do something that actually matters: challenging people to think.
