Do you really think Conan wanted his staff to lost their job? NO! And it's evident that he cares about them because the reason why the deal took so long to sign was that he was negotiating a payout for his staff. And he is also going to give them some money of his own.

And for what NBC is putting Conan through, with his career and not letting him work til Sept and that his contract has 3 1/2 more years, then I do agree with him that he should get paid out. Conan has worked for that network for 17 YEARS and this is how they treat him. Anyways, I WOULDN'T want him to be like Leno. You wanna talk about someone who is selfish and arrogant? Alright, let's talk about Leno. That guy doesn't know how to share. First it started with Lettermen in the early 90's. He forced his way onto the Tonight Show even though, Carson wanted Lettermen. And old habits die hard, because now he is pulling the saaaaaaaaame crap on Conan. Leno would step over your body to get what he wants. He's a ruthless jackass, who has no soul or conscience. Leno is sooo pathetically holding onto a show he doesn't deserve because he has no sense of self. NBC gave Leno ^ YEARS to find a new job or plan his future and did he? NO! And I DO remember Leno saying he would retire once Conan took over. I guess he really means what he says. There is a reason why Leno has no supports or friends. Everytime I watch a Leno interview, it is soooo painful because he CANNOT connect with anyone. In fact, I can't remember a moment on the show, when he has displayed actually emotions. However, Conan has a life other than the show and was emotional when he talked about his newborn baby girl and cried on the last night of the tonight show. So if you ask me whether I wanted a self depricating and goofy red head over a old dead inside mean, I think you know the anwser. Plus, if he was like Leno, then Conan would be like everyother late night talk show hosts.
