ThermaHelm Motorcycle Helmet Could Keep Your Cool, Save Your Life

A light bulb came on for Preston-Powers. The British man created a self-cooling helmet that could actually save the lives of many head trauma victims. According to DVICE, the ThermaHelm is a carbon-fiber helmet with a pack of water and a pack of ammonium nitrate built into its lining. When impact occurs, the contents of the packs mix and create a cooling sensation around the victim's head that lasts for about 45-minutes. This instant cooling of the brain could prevent long-term brain damage for head trauma victims. The product will hit stores in the U.K. this May for $450, but you can also pay to have your old helmet lined with ThermaHelm technology.

I love this idea, one of those I wish i'd thought of!
I've felt one of these ice pack work and they get extremely cold (you literally can't hold onto it!), extremely quick which in a crash is whats crucial!
I would love to have one purely for the reassurance that if a crash happens, my
brain is safe.
The price puts it up there with the low top range helmets like the Bell M5X DAYTONA which retails at £295/$455 but the way I ride I really cant afford to be cheap when it comes to safety and to have this reassuring new tech is seriously worth so much more!
