Thanks for the revisit.  As afar as remaking them, pretty cool idea.  Now Archon has been remade, it is available on the ITunes store. Gameplay would probably be pretty similar to Zelda. Since the Xbox and PS3 controllers have like 10 buttons, to which various duties could be assigned, the games would also carry over well to those consoles.
