'Avatar' on Pace to Overtake 'Titanic,' Mobile 'Xbox Live' Coming to Windows Phones

  • 'Avatar' has been shattering cinema records since its opening weekend. Now James Cameron's 3-D epic now seems poised to overtake another one of the director's masterpieces, 'Titanic,' as the most profitable box-office film ever produced. [From: Mashable]
  • Microsoft is reportedly releasing a mobile Xbox Live service which will simply be known as 'Xbox Live Games.' According to early reports, Microsoft will be excluding millions of gamers, though, as the mobile 'Games' feature will initially only be available for Windows-based phones. [From: Kotaku]
  • Bloggers, news reporters, and tech analysts have all been contributing to the Apple iSlate rumors, but occasionally someone with professional credence reveals knowledge of the mysterious gadget-Yeti's existence. France Telecom executive Stephane Richard has become the latest corporate bigwig to offer a "Look at Me" iSlate statement, as he contends that the e-reader will actually debut in the "next couple of days." UPDATE: Orange, the "key brand" of France Telecom, is now contending that Richard's comments were "taken out of context." The company claims Richard was merely confirming an awareness of the gadget rumors, and that the misunderstanding occurred when Richard's statement was "interpreted into English."   • Astronauts typically and famously dine on freeze-dried delicacies when exploring outer space, but researchers at the International Space Station are about to break out the white tablecloths and silver cutlery.
