Always Turn Off Stolen GPS Units
It was only a matter of time before some numbskull criminal stole a GPS-equipped car or phone, but we didn't expect someone to steal live GPS units. A group of crooks in Lindenhurst, NY swiped 14 functioning GPS devices from the Town of Babylon Public Works. Understandably, authorities had no trouble tracking them down.

I guess now that it is common knowledge to bank robbers (after this story) they won't be so dumb.
I think when there is new technology of this sort, the media should just keep quiet. Houston has been inundated with bank robberies in the past several years. We could have used GPS-Equipped Cash in many instances.
Frankly, I just wish there was an island where we could send all of these losers who steal from hard-working citizens.

CaptainAmerica is 100% right. Thanks for trying to inform the masses as to the truth.
Mount up Patriots !!!! The fight is on !!!! Take back America from the zIlluminiti, the Bilderburgers and the power elite. This earth belongs to the people -- not just a few power hungry morons.
By the way, watch TruTV on wednesday nights and see "The Conspiricies Theories" by J. Ventura. He debunks them and tells truth. Truth is what we long for -- not lies.

To those worried that this story somehow "tips off" bank robbers--think again. Actually the story will likely have the opposite effect. Any would-be bank robbers will be so concerned that they will be implanted with a GPS device, they may not commit the robbbery.

Aside from these moron criminals, GPS is used by employers (who issue their employees cell phones and other technology) to track their whereabouts. If you are an employee who goes out in the field, don't be surprised if your employer questions you about where you have been on company time.

Good idea, tell them all about it. Hey, why not include the drawings for the lay out of a bank near them? And don't forget to let them know when the most money will be at the bank.

The media tells everything that it finds out. This WAS a good tool for law enforcement. That one of the main things wrong with this country, it tells everything to everybody. All Al Quada has to do is watch TV and they just how to attack us.

GPS, Doesn't only hurt criminals, it can very easily help them as well. Recently, a friend of mine's car got broken into in a prking garage. The criminal(s) left the cash in center consol, and prettymuch everything else in the save for the GPS unit, and garage door opener for the house. After having these items in their posession, all they did was hit "HOME", on the portable GPS. The GPS, automatically directed, and guided the criminal(s) to my friend's home, where they used the garage door opener, to enter the house. Next, they filled their vehicle with whatever they wanted, and left the GPS, and garage door opener on the table in the foyer, just to break balls a little bit.
GPS, can get you into trouble, if you don't protect it correctly. Don't leave it visible, and munted on your dash, or in your windshield where people outside can see it. It can literally, be an invitation, directions, and guide to your most personal, and valued property.
